Honestly if alcahol can be legal given its dangers, all the current crop of illegal drugs should be too. Alcahol is by far the most destructive drug in health and legal terms.

This isn't a thread about what constitutes a "natural born citizen", but rather whether that clause should even exist. The USA is on a very short list of countries which require their head of state to be a "natural born citizen", rather than someone who has gained citizenship via another means.
So what do you think?
Personally, I think that all citizens should be allowed to become President, but much like the requirement that Presidents be older than 35, people who have gained U.S. citizenship via means other than birth should have held that citizenship for a number of years (e.g. 20) and also been a U.S. resident for the same period of time.
I agree.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Edit Reason: not the best phrasing
)
I believe all citizens should be eligible, but at the same time I'm not an American, so I'm understandably biased.

I think it's important for someone to have lived here long enough in order to be eligible to run it. I don't think this is unreasonable.

As it is, you're more likely to become President than any natural born atheist Americans anyway, CL.
In fact, I think one is more likely to become the Pope than the P.O.T.U.S. as an atheist.

While we may not have 5 star rated Presidents they have all been natural citizens and better than all of the foreign leaders around the world. So the last thing we need is for a foreigner to become President of this mud hole.

Does it bother you at all that I can't take you seriously right now and automatically assume you're trolling?
What that means is, you're dumb as fuck if you really think like that.
