Sounds like this might be a win for embryonic stem cells
New potential treatment for type 1 diabetes. Implantable beta islet cells formed from embryonic stem cells that produce the necessary amounts of insulin.

Now all big pharma has to do is figure out a way to make the "cure" cost as much as the daily "treatment."  The only thing they don't want their drugs to hurt is their bottom line.

It's not that bad rob. The needles are so small you barely notice them.

It's the probably reduced lifespan which is a bitch, though increasingly us T1 diabetics are living longer and healthier.
