Poll: Would you eat synthetic meat instead of the meat we get from slaughtered animals?
This poll is closed.
Yes.

No.

I have doubts about whether it would be just as healthy as the meat we eat right now.

I think it would be too expensive and not worth the cost of production.

I think it would be strange, to say the least. Unnatural. I can't imagine eating something grown in a lab.

assuming billions of identical cloned copies of a specific cow muscle cell, how is it less 'organic' than the cow it came from ?

(and note, the USDA has not  legally defined the term 'organic' yet, so Dr. Vorlon's 100% pure radium infused desiccated soda crackers could be marketed as 'organic')

Tongue

but we know what you meant . . .

They have legally defined what is or is not organic.   They can't keep people from using the word organic, ofc....that would be ridiculous, but they can and -do- keep people from using their legal classification.  USDA Certified Organic.

I can't get organic certification, for example...because I grow without soil and use highly processed fertility......despite the fact that my "soil" is ground up coconut husk, my fertilizers are processed versions of organically certified fertilizers, I use organically certified pesticides, certified seed, and no antibiotics.    All of it, every jot and tittle, is absurd.  Chinese factory farms meet the cert and I don't, lol.  If I tried to claim that my stuff was certified there would be legal consequences.  If I tried to use the certified products my production system would fail.  Chasing the cert costs an obscene amount of money and I;ve watched people go belly up while I was trying to get them there.  It's a major hurdle I have to overcome with every new member to the csa side.

Appreciate that, maybe it's "lite" that I was thinking of ?

or "natural" ?
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
