Theist zone

RE: Theist zone
For some reason it's just sitting in my outbox. I'll keep an eye on it.
Hmm.... It opens fine here. It's a >25 meg file and perhaps that is just too big?

Try this download site. It's the same file.

RE: Theist zone
LOL. I just PM'd you about it!

Okay. Take the url I sent to Paul for Misquoting Jesus. I think that file may be too large and I'll send the other two out.

I think my brain just imploded at the sheer backwards-ness of actually saying this.

RE: Theist zone
Your brain must always be in danger of exploding. Keep absorbing that holy horseshit and you'll quickly reach critical mass.

I don't know why. It's what current scientific research points to. The universe always existed as some kind of singularity, timeless, etc. The some quantum fluctuation made time start to tick, and the singularity expanded.

RE: Theist zone
I'd like to look into that, actually. I have a feeling the research behind it is extremely interesting.

What boggles my mind, however, is how someone can suggest that the universe has always existed in some form or another as an infinite 'entity'(for lack of a better term), whilst denying that the same thing is possible of God.

RE: Theist zone
Well firstly it isn't an infinite entity, since an infinite entity can't expand. Secondly, he didn't deny that the same thing is possible of God. Thirdly, what he did say is that it is easier to believe, mainly because we know the universe exists already; we don't need to imagine some kind of God to get an answer.
