It's unfair that men are usually told to flip off in a custody battle. Some men have been made to pay child support for children who weren't theirs because the mother had put said man's name on the child's birth certificate.

Oh, and the whole "women-are-excused-from-the-draft" thing needs to go out the window. Heck, women can pay for their own food on dates. They can open their own doors and pull out their own chair.

Sorry, but the state shouldn't have to pay for a child they had no hand in creating. If mom is working two jobs and still struggling, then dear old dad should be stepping up to the plate and helping. If he has a problem with that then perhaps he should have used protection to prevent a pregnancy.

The way it (TANF) has been redesigned, a woman can only be on it for a maximum of five years and then she's off it. SNAP is entirely different. There is no time limit with that.

If the man didn't consent to having a child and the woman went with it anyway the sole responsibility should lie with the woman. Why do we want consent in everything else but God forbid not when it comes to bringing a kid into this world?
If the man did consent but then leaves the mother he should be forced to pay support, period.

What I'm describing is an actually fair system.
Child support is a scam. It's biased against men so that the state don't have to take responsibility and lose monies in the aftermath.

Hey, you're the one who brought the fucking state into this. Furthermore, this argument has already been hashed out in pages and pages on another thread. The fact that it is continuously dragged forth into other threads by men, only goes to show that yes, they are pigs. Not all of them, but the ones who seem jaded because they want to shirk their responsibilities.

And child support isn't paid solely by men. Many women pay it to. So unless you have some sort of proof that there are NO women who pay child support, you shouldn't be making claims that it always falls on a man or that it's unfair to a man. Guess what I'll probably be doing once I complete my schooling and get employment. That's right: paying child support.

I have seen much of the gender inequality in my time. It certainly goes both ways. you should have seen the shit that girls could get away with and boys couldn't in the 70's. At the time the sexual revolution was in full swing and like most cultural changes the pendulum would swing hard the other way against the former oppressors (men). Life kinda sucked for me as I tried to be a man but at the same time give full lee way to women and still treat them as if they were "ladies".

I'm all sorts of ready to give full equality. For instance, I wont start a fist fight just to win an argument against anyone man or woman but should the woman feel as if it is nesseccary to do so I dont see the problem with using due force (to fight until the opponent stops fighting you but no further). When i was a child a if you offended a girl in the slightest she felt it was okay to hit your balls in retaliation. The sad fact was that if you came back at her you were the wrong one. funny memory; my first fight was with a girl (at 6 years old so she was bigger). I dont remember what i did or said but she kicked my in the "jimmies" but her kick was not well placed so did not do the damage she sought. I didn't know how to fight so i just mimicked what she did. My shot found the mark and down she went. Guess who was in trouble for defending himself.
It's a well known fact that women get preferential treatment in custody battles due to our culture on women and child care.
It may take some strength to carry military gear into combat but it takes little to no strength to pull a trigger.
The whole date thing is a way for a man to prove he can be a good provider by paying for the date. This too is rooted in culture and evolution from the days when women had to spend most of their time looking after children that had a good change of dieing. Now the woman has just as many opportunities as the man for employment and children are much more likely to live.
As far as child support goes, I had no problem stepping up to pay my share (in fact i did). I had a problem when upon attempting to got to college and better my employment (and therefore more money to give to my children) I was told to fuck off and keep paying the same amount despite cutting my wage in 1/3 (to go to school) but she was given grant after grant because she had our child. It is as if the culture treated the woman as a victim in the pregnancy and I the culprit.
I'm good with understanding the responsibility. you lay you pay. The process of getting to the parent equality point is going to take some time since the culture of inequality is 1000's of years old.
