Why the whole Adam and Eve Fall story makes no sense

God creates everything, including Adam and Eve.Adam and Eve eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil...the tree of knowledge (does that mean god wanted us to be stupid? Or just to mindlessly obey - I mean, is the "wrong" done here because they disobeyed, or because they gained the knowledge of good and evil) and then banished them from the garden, before they could eat from the tree of life (that would give them eternal life) - after playing a game of hide and seek.And its never explained why that tree was there in the first place or what was the deal with the talking snake(most Christians would say it was Satan but it was never explicitly stated as such).

I agree. It's absolutely absurd, any way you look at it.

The most stupid thing is how god judged them for eating from the tree, when they didn't have the knowledge of what it meant to be evil (disobey god) until they ate from the tree. It's like telling your young kid not to "increase in altitude", without explaining it. He has no idea what that means, and he starts walking up the stairs. Then you tell him what it actually meant, and punish him forever for this mistake. And punish all his children he will have in the future.

If people want to worship a creature like that, I'd hate to think what they would imagine an evil god would be like.

I think Adam was probably pretty happy he didn't get to eat from the tree of life, by the time he got to the age of 900 I bet he'd had enough.

The snake being Satan was a retcon, in case anyone didn't know. Originally he was just a regular talking animal that out-witted God.

It don't have to make sense as it is just absurd story about sinfulness of man; primitive idea which is supposed to make selling imaginary cure - salvation - for imaginary crime - first sin - easier.

I think it's just metaphorical. It's showing what an unreasonable, incompetent, grudge-holding, short-sighted, limited buffoon the character of Yahweh is.

I did find it once, but the swords were immune to physical attacks and I'd run out of MP. I used the magic rope to get back to town before they killed me, and I can't remember how I got there now.
