Why the whole Adam and Eve Fall story makes no sense

Maybe it was "magic" fruit... like shrooms, but on a tree.  That's why at first they don't feel well; then it gets all groovy. 

Then that explains the origin of the story; it was all a psychedelic drug experience .

There are a lot of problems with the earlier stories of the bible if taken literally.

There's also problems with not taking them literally.

Like, there's no point to Jesus.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure these stories were originally meant to be taken literally, until people started finding out what really goes on, then the believers started saying it's a metaphor or whatever.

You'd think they could at least agree one way or the other. Doesn't God tell them anything?

God creates everything, including Adam and Eve.Adam and Eve eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil...the tree of knowledge (does that mean god wanted us to be stupid? Or just to mindlessly obey - I mean, is the "wrong" done here because they disobeyed, or because they gained the knowledge of good and evil) and then banished them from the garden, before they could eat from the tree of life (that would give them eternal life) - after playing a game of hide and seek.And its never explained why that tree was there in the first place or what was the deal with the talking snake(most Christians would say it was Satan but it was never explicitly stated as such).

Yeah, and those don't cover all of the things which are rediculous about the story of Adam and Eve.  That any adult can read such nonsense and accept it as histocal fact is frightening. And we haven't even gotten to Noah's Arc yet!
