It makes absolutely NO sense at all to stick your favorite product on a speck of dust out in this gigantic sea of hostility where life cannot exist in the majority of the universe, and on top of that, make it impossible to migrate off this rock while insisting we follow this claimed being who gave us all these various books and religions that we end up needlessly murdering each other over. Not only is this alleged "plan" flawed on efficiency alone, there is also no logical way to claim this god is moral in the slightest. At best, if we are to assume for argument's sake only, that such a being existed, we could only be property, toys, lab rats.

I never found the whole "we're too tiny for God to care" argument valuable.

When we see a bridge or a road or a building, we assume it was built to be used; building something requires time, energy, resources, etc. But it's a mistake on the atheist's part to ascribe this limitation to a theistic god, because a theistic god is one possessing the three omni- attributes of omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence. Taken to its logical end, a truly theistic god would be totally aware of every particle of matter at every moment in time, much in the way the "theistic" computer of a virtual reality world might be. In addition to omniscience, the attribute of omnipotence implies that the god can be omniscient without any cost to itself; unlike the bridge builder, the god would expend nothing of itself to know everything, nor would it to have created a universe. And what is omnipresence but the logical consequence of omnipotence and omniscience?

Of course, a valid question is why create a massive and uninhabitable universe for the sake of one tiny planet of people? Many religions have different answers, but the Christian answer is two-fold. First, the Christian would say that if the universe had been created any other way, it would be more obvious that a god existed, which would be problematic for Christianity because one of the central teachings of the religion is that God wants people to live by faith, not evidence. Second, the Christian might argue that God would have created, but in the form of cosmic evolution. Going back to my virtual world analogy, evolutionary biologists will sometimes use computer models to study evolution. If there existed a virtual world in which evolution occured, the evolution would appear to be an independent process not requiring the oversight of any computer; the computer would be effortlessly woven into the fabric of the reality itself to the point of being undetectable by the biased inhabitant of the virtual world. Similarly, according to the Christian, the "hand of God" is uniform over cosmic and biological evolution. There is not a "god of the gaps," as Richard Dawkins would say, but simply a theistic god in the truest sense.

I've found no evidence against an evil magical toilet controlling the world via 23 identical metaphysical canisters of super-serum. So that must be true as well.
I'll leave you to your imagination.

Evidence is there.
No question about it Rob.
But there is a problem.
In order to get the evidence you first got to build up receptors in your mind.

I think you mean, you have to become very willing to be susceptible to confirmation bias.

How would you go about demonstrating that these "receptors" actually exist?

Get it Rob?

Failed analogy.

No matter what someones religious beliefs are, they can demonstrate that radio waves actually exist.

You have so far been unable to demonstrate that there is anything supernatural to receive, nor that any "receptors" exist.

I have been meditating and doing yoga for over a decade.

The meditation helps my overall well being, and the yoga has helped with my surfing, and other sports performance.

Nothing supernatural.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

By the way, verification should involve always involve another independent observer where possible. Sitting on your own in a room, coming to "conclusions" based on your thoughts and feelings isn't enough. If you can't properly get someone else to independently verify it for themselves, you might as well be making it all up.

And if you're trying to convince anyone of your beliefs, continual refusal of verification and rejection of the scientific method will convince only the most gullible.

Well sure. Just like every other entity. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Superman and Dracula haven't showed up . . . no signs of Odin or Zeus or Rama or Osiris lately either. So it's reasonable to assume they don't exist until they actually show up.
You claim a deity exists. So you must have some sort of verifiable proof. How did YOU get it to show up? Because I have utterly failed at that task for over 50 years.  Oh, and if we haven't told you dozens of times - personal stories and "feelings" don't count.  I could pray to Batman and get all sorts of feelings. (ha) We need a video with you and the deity.  A photo? Maybe a sound recording?

Well, if your deity doesn't want to talk to me, I don't want to talk to it, and I don't have to believe it exists.

There is an old saying that goes ........IF THE MOUNTAIN DOESN'T COME TO YOU YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE MOUNTAIN.
There may be some reasons why God doesn't come to you or other people as well.
I don't know.
I can not read in your mind or other people mind.
That however is not a problem.
If you take the initiative so much better.
It will be appreciated a lot believe me.
I did the same and guess what?

Actually you are the one who say .....supernatural .....not me.
True, there is nothing supernatural.
It is all natural.
The problem however is that most people can not even grasp the natural so to them what is
outside their receptors is supernatural when in reality is not.
It is all about practice.
With the practice everything become easy and become part and parcel of our normal activity.
Yoga is how the so called supernatural become natural.
Once you discover who you really are and your potential the unknown become known and everything is possible.  Lightbulb

A bottom line understanding from the study of electromagnetic waves is that it is by how we focus our attention and awareness is what determines what particular frequencies we experience. If we form a habit or practice a pattern of focused awareness and attention that repeats the same pattern we will continually access the same frequencies of creation. Hence we create a given experience again and again. If, however, we learn to think differently, see differently and act differently, we can access realms of Creation and possibilities that our current mind has yet to understand.

Well, well let us talk about nonsense.

Here we got a group of people that haven't got the slightest clue how evolution works what
is the difference among brain, mind and consciousness and the relationship between energy and
consciousness and yet they pretend to know what science is all about.
Isn't this nonsense?

Good.  Then you know this creature's attributes.  You know what it looks like, how it talks, how it acts, etc.  All you have to do now is prove it, give us verification that what you are asserting is actually true, via concrete evidence that others can easily replicate, instead of just feelings and daydreams.  Do this, and your deity will get all the attention it wants.  But if you're talking about immaterial things, escapes from reality, and brain chemistry, I'm not interested.
