This isn't a TV theme song though it was shown almost every day on TV when I was a kid as a fill in between children shows in the 70's.

It's one of the earliest songs I can remember,it has traveled with me through my life, it will be played on the day I am committed to the earth and it remains one of my genuine favorites. If only people would listen to the message.

Vocals are by the one and only Mr Ronnie James Dio.

That was Ronnie Dio.
He was in heaps of bands, most notably Dio.
He even replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath for a while.
He was basically a Rock God. :-)
