All good names ... At that price point you may not notice a hell of a lot of difference. Go for features and what's on special.

Why am I reading this ending in "...you uncultured swine.".

A local store has a Denon head unit and some Klipsch bookshelf speakers on sale, I think they had Polk's as well. I might check them out. Somewhere in a box left unopened since my last move is a pair of Bose wall speakers that might be good for something. I just remembered those.

Here's my minimalist approach ... Gone Sonance inwall/ceiling. Those big inwall speakers were the first THX certified inwalls. 18KG each.

Yeah, they recommended I reinforce (brace) the wall prior to installing them. (The wall is my bass reflex!)

To record an analog signal accurately does require analog recording.  Digital can only approximate, but it is not "as accurate as possible".  No matter the clock frequency of the digital recording equipment, one can only get a maximum (unachievable limit) of half of the signal.  Probably it is closer to one quarter.

That is absolutely false. The proof is in the measurements. THD, frequency response, dynamic range, S/N ratio are ALL vastly superior in the CD format to any analog method I'm aware of. You misunderstand the digital sampling process. Obviously, digital sampling gets more than half the signal - it wouldn't be much use if it didn't. Fifty percent distortion REALLY sucks, lol.

You are correct in that an analog recording technique in theory, could be superior to any digital system because while digital can never achieve perfection, analog could. But here is where real-world performance falls far, far short of theoretical maximums. It's very hard to faithfully record an analog signal. Again, the proof is in the numbers. This isn't an opinion. Digital beats analog in every measurement and by a wide margin.

It's a mathematical theorem. If the sampling rate is twice the bandwidth of the signal, you get all of the signal captured, period. The only limitation is finite bits.
