It wasn't an ad hominem it was a fact!

Yep that's your opinion. Great.

Ad hominem 'means to the man, attacking the person instead of the argument. I may indeed be shallow, but that is irrelevant to my opinion, which may be right or wrong.

Hence
Quote:You may always have been shallow
is an ad hominem attack. Just as it would be if I said you are a fool BECAUSE of your beliefs. I have said no such thing. My conclusion after reading many of your posts is that you are a fool AND believe a lot of nonsense unsupported by evidence.

I would have been happy to provide evidence for my position had you asked. I note without surprise that you did not bother to supply evidence to support your own position to refute mine. Instead you attack me.

I find your attack ironic; you have demonstrated over a long period that you have the intellectual depth of a petrie dish.

I may have mentioned this before; I don't suffer fools. My fault entirely.I should have left you on ignore.I have now remedied that situation. If I continued reading your posts I would eventually forget myself, tear you a new one and get myself banned. I came very close this time.

@ Padraic : forgive me I thought you were saying that my comment "Well it took a while to hit home" was a 2nd Ad Hominem from me, as you quoted that and then mentioned the Ad Hominem again.

I confess to the Ad Hominem. I didn't consider it a profitable use of time to argue the point seriously, and assumed that others here could use their own judgement. I took a stab in the dark. No harm calling people out sometimes I think.

Of course now you respond with one Ad Hominem and one unsupportable observation that I find also to be illogical. So this ends one up to me.

There is really no cause for such a violent reaction Pad. Surely we can get along despite our differences. I don't intend handling you with kid gloves, and I'd appreciate the same from you.
