Catholic Church Opposes Removing Statute of Limitations for Child Rape
#11
RE: Catholic Church Opposes Removing Statute of Limitations for Child Rape
Upon reflection, I'm thinking the pew warmers are a bigger and bigger part of this abuse problem.

The larger financial hit to the church SHOULD occur when the hierarchy issues bullshit proposals like their opposition to the statute of limitations change and outrages the members into canceling their pledges and tithes. That we don't see that makes me think there should be outrage directed beyond the perps and their protectors in administration and focused more on the teeming throngs bankrolling the entire rotting edifice.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Of course they oppose it. Their bible doesn't speak against pedophilia. It only speaks out about being gay. So they'll push their fucking hardest to make sure two men or two women can't get married or adopt (I mean god damn, they want to make sure nobody has an abortion, but then want to prevent gay couples from adopting. That's such fucking bullshit that I'm surprised the Pope can sit with as much shit coming out of his mouth as it does), but do abso-fucking-lutely nothing about child sex abuse by their own goddamn priests.

Where was God in preventing those abuses? Did they stop allowing prayer in church?

There is no god.  "God" is merely the product that the churches sell to gullible fools.

This is my point. At some point continued tithing equates to supporting these efforts.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Upon more reflection, maybe this is where we get pragmatic.

1500 years of Catholic priest pedophilia and it's as bad as it's ever been:

Maybe we need to regulate it instead of prohibit it ??

Set some minimum weight a male child has to be before he can be safely anally sodomized with a minimal risk of tearing. Screen the priests for communicable diseases. The money saved in lawsuits (if it's legal, no one can sue) can be used to salve the guilt of parents who would sign the consent forms for their kids to be abused. Maybe limiting selection of kids to the disabled ones, preferably the mute ones so they can't discuss their experiences, would be considered a blessing/sacrament too ?

And then the rest of us can go back to worrying about oceanic acidification.

The parents keep pimping their kids off so they must be OK with it.

If this isn't an admission of corruption, I don't know what is.

"Our business is so shot through with child molesters we have been shielding from justice, that God must rely on the continued protection of a secular law or he will be bankrupt and his church will crumble."

Unsurprising no Catholics want to comment on this. This is not a few rotten apples. This is not "teachers do it too". This is a statement of determination to continue to shield child molesters. Why would you want to fund a business with a mission statement like this?

The institution already is bankrupt. Morally, ethically and spiritually.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Remember what it did to Hitler.  He spent too much time around those creeps and they turned him to the dark side.
