Thank you.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Oh boy.
It seems to be a common misconception that someone cannot withdraw from a discussion without it automatically being a victory for the other person. Hardly.
This also seems to lead to the "carry on arguing relentlessly until the other person gets fed up and then declare victory" tactic. The purpose of honest debate is supposed to be to exchange ideas, possibly with a view to giving the other person some things to consider. It's not to spout off constantly until the other person gets tired of you. If that's what you consider to be a victory, then clearly "winning the argument" is more important to you than actually being right, or properly communicating good ideas.

Wrong,
On many occasions, after an atheist has been beaten soundly on facts, they turn tail and run. Kinda like how i was making the point that animals didn't have a moral code, which Abaris took issue with, and referenced Frans de Waal as evidence of animal morality, when in reality De Waal was saying the exact same thing I was.
But surprise, Abaris never admitted he was wrong, he just left the conversation... that's how it usually goes.
I can provide actual evidence if you'd like...

Scientists do not join hands every Sunday, singing, ‘yes, gravity is real! I will have faith! I will be strong! I believe in my heart that what goes up, up, up must come down.... Amen!’ If they did, we would think they were pretty insecure about it.”
So I guess when atheists form a church, gather together every Sunday and sing; their being insecure about their atheism also right?

Thank you and 30.

Sorry. That's an old saying. It's related to newspaper editing. At the end of a news story, the reporter types -30- to show he is finished. So thank you and 30 means the end.
IOW Esquinox reminded us what discussion and debate is all about, and I felt I had responded to Steve adequately so nothing more needs to be said. I'm not going to let huggy fuggy start any shit. Huggy wants to be a provocateur.

Ah, I learned something new on the internet today!

And I come back to find yet another interesting avatar attached to the name Stimbo. You could make a picture of a wall look cute. If I searched the entire internet I would never learn how you do that.
That's not flattery. That's an observation.
