Correcting grammar is racist.
RE: Correcting grammar is racist.
I wasn't making a point that there aren't reasons behind economic or education differences between Asians and blacks and Hispanics.

What I'm saying is that if something is a privilege it's for one specific group according to the definition of the word privilege. This point is even further strengthened if you use the term white privilege.

So my question again is what is the privilege granted to white people that none whites don't have available.

Economically at the top of the tables were Indian Americans, Taiwanese Americans, Maltese and so on. Asians overall earn more.

You said schools are funded on property tax I think that's what you said anyway I'm typing on my phone here which makes it difficult to go back and forth to check.

So if Asians are earning more and I'm assuming it's reflected in the houses they buy the area they live in and the tax they pay. I'm also under the impression they do have access to good access to education since they perform so well.

I'm not saying specifically that whites don't stand a better chance than blacks at getting better jobs and earning money, avoiding prison and so on. but just that it's not a specific white privilege if Indians, Asians, Maltese people are all earning more than black people and som earning more than white people and avoid prison more than whites.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

I don't know if I'm replying to early and you just haven't finishing editing this post but this is just what you posted earlier and I replied to. It doesn't explain the term white privilege or give any examples of specific privileges available to white as a specific group unavailable to non whites.

It does, however, point the way to understanding why puling a small minority out as a counterexample and saying "therefore no white privilege" is inaccurate. Simply because another subset of the American populace has done well doesn't mean that whites don't enjoy privilege inaccessible to blacks and Hispanics.

True it doesn't mean that whites don't enjoy priveleges inaccessible to blacks or Hispanics but it doesn't make it a white privilege to enjoy these privileges if white people aren't the only group enjoying these privileges.

What a white privilege would be is an advantage, right or immunity granted to only whites and to no one else.
That's what a privilege is and whites privilege especially I'm guessing must be focused on whites unless the title is just misleading.

So what advantages or rights or immunities do whites have available that Asians, Indian Americans, Maltese Americans or Taiwanese Americans or rich black or Hispanic people don't have?

As for the advantages white have that Asian-Americans don't? For one thing, they don't get told to "go back where you came from." They don't get mistaken for Arabs and get the shit beaten out of them, or even murdered. That sort of thing doesn't happen to me, a white man.

Are you really this obtuse?

Enjoy your semantic quibbles. I'd rather address the problem, rather than its label.

No, not the privileges that white people have that Asian Americans don't, the privileges that white people have that no other racial groups have. That's what a white privilege is. Not just a privilege some white people have and some Chinese people and some Mongolians or whatever. A white privilege surely by definition must be a privilege specifically for white people and that's what I'm trying to figure out.

Jewish people are Caucasian and are sometimes mistaken for Arabs and attacked, arabs can be quite pale and I see no reason why a white person, in particular a white personal wearing Arab cultural clothing or a white Muslim couldn't be mistaken for an Arab.
I would say Chinese or Japanese people are more privileged in not being mistaken for Arabs and killed.

As for not being told to go back to where they came from, it depends which country, white people in Africa are often told this, they might even be told this in America by native Americans. White polish people who can't speak English in America might be told this. There's no proof whites people are never told to go back to where they came from.

So we still haven't pin pointed precisely what the white privilege is no enjoyed by any other racial group, the non whites.

Yes, I know your problem is with the allegedly exclusive connotation of "privilege".

You still don't seem to understand that one group's successful integration doesn't remove the advantages enjoyed by white folk in America ... and quite frankly, I don't think you really want to; so I'll leave you to your obtuse pedantry and find a discussion more worth my time.

It's not an alleged connotation of exclusivity, it's the dictionary definition of the word privilege coupled with the fact that the full phrase is white privileged which definitely implies an exclusivity to whites people.

I'm not being pedantic, you don't even have to use the word privilege as it defines it in the dictionary, but if you use the term white privilege that implies an exclusivity to whites.

None of the advantages mentioned in this thread have been exclusively white privileges.

I do understand that one group of none white people having success in America doesn't mean some white people won't have advantages.  That has nothing to do with the phrase white privilege.

I fail to see how I could be the obtuse one for thinking the phrase "White privilege" could be a privilege exclusive to privileges only white people have.

I think it's more obtuse to say the implied exclusiveness in the phrase is just "Alleged" by me.  As if I just made up these definitions to help my argument along.
