"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I read the OP and then looked at the poll results. That's what I responded to. Either the OP did a poor job or those surveyed weren't honest.
So...lack of reading comprehension it is...good to know.

Interesting, it's 3 edging out 1.
The question in my mind is the following: You see someone (let's say calmly) about to commit suicide. They're getting ready to jump off a cliff or stab themselves, and you're pretty sure they're serious. You know nothing else about them. Do you stop them and restrain them, if you are able? It's a matter of personal liberty versus social responsibility. Let's say talking them down isn't an option for simplicity. My instinct would most likely be to stop them. I don't know if I could stop myself stopping them, even if I rationally thought I should let them go through with it. Feel free to send me a private message.
