We could eliminate the military spending by simply killing all of our real and possible enemies with our current weapons today.

We really don't have any strong military adversaries that we have to worry about.  The only real reason to spend money on the military is to keep people busy building stuff and to maintain the manufacturing capability.  Plus guys (and women) get to wear fancy uniforms.

Politics is the art of the possible. What you're suggesting is not possible. I suspect you're simply trying to shock, but believe me, your schtick is transparently thin.

We really don't have any strong military adversaries that we have to worry about.

We have no active enemies right now, true. But two potential enemies have the ability to destroy us as a functioning nation.
