NC Gov on the wrong side of history......

I'm sorry, but when you allow people with penises in to areas where women lower and raise clothing, it does make a difference. If transgenders believe it doesn't matter, then let them use the bathroom that the law says they should use. Why worry? Otherwise they do think it matters.

No sorry, your plumbing does not mean you only assault someone of the opposite sex. Even prison rape is not about the perp or the victim being gay.

A man say an uncle, can take a nephew into the bathroom of their gender and he can molest his own family member using the same sex bathroom. Just like he could baby sitting the same kid in a basement.

I have no doubt that a person with a penis who truly identifies as a woman and dresses like a women is going to be the least of anyone's worries. I also have no doubt that a person with a vagina that dresses like a man is also going to be the least likely to commit an assault or molestation. Most rapes and assaults are committed by someone the victim knows.

And for both women and men in any case, if someone is worried about a low traffic area, having someone go in with you is also going to decrease the chances, just like having a parent at home or having a spouse at home is going to make it less likely someone is going to break in and assault you. But the buddy system works even outside sexual assaults with any potential crime.

It is simply fear mongering for no good reason.

If you think all this true, then why can't transgenders just use the bathroom that correlates to their sex at birth? Why are they demanding to use the other bathroom? Are they uncomfortable in using the bathroom of their birth sex even though there is no danger?

Do you want to hear about all the time I've been leered at, propositioned, and assaulted in men's bathroom? And how typical this is for transgender women?

So what if some women have penises? That's a crushingly naive prejudice to have. Some genetically XX women have penises (congenital adrenal hyperplasia), and some genetically XY women have penises (androgen insensitivity, transgender, etc). No big deal either way.

Caitlyn Jenner for example, I would have no doubt could use a woman's room and nobody should have to worry about her. I cant stand her the celebrity or the fact that she votes for a party that hates her. But that is a different subject.

Conversely though, if she went into enough men's rooms because the laws force her to, it wouldn't take long for some bigoted asshole to beat the shit out of her.

I'm thinking that other states should make it legal to discriminate against people from North Carolina.  Of course, the statute should make it clear that they get to do so only if they have a strong moral or religious basis for discriminating.

You and Brian have made my point. If you allow physical men to enter women's restrooms, if they think they are women, then it opens it up to any man who wants to claim to be a woman to do it. This could cause the same problems. I guess the law could state that any true transgender who uses the wrong restroom would be allowed if they are determined to be transgender by a qualified specialist. I honestly do feel for you. I guess you could look for places with a gender neutral restroom. Why can't you feel for the huge number of women and girls who fear the same type of harassment?

It seems that Lek - and the idiot governor of NC - seem to think that perverts never knew there were women in a women's bathroom until the fag lovers in Charlotte passed an anti-discrimination bill.  Now you asswipes have done it.  The perverts will know exactly where to look.  Because if there is one thing that is certain it is that a sexual predator would be deterred by a "Women" sign on a bathroom door.

Shitheads.

It's that they think that rapists, en masse, are going to go to all the trouble of dressing up as women and go into a public bathroom (probably full of people) to do the deed.

I don't know why we're acting like nobody has ever been raped before. Sad reality, there are sick bastards out there and they'll be sick bastards whether it's in a public toilet or down an alleyway. Banning transgender people from public toilets isn't going to stop it.
