Are the far right Christians here in the U.S. just upset they're losing power

Trump gets a tiny bit of credit for this in my book. He has shattered their control of the GOP. I don't think they'll recover because of the demographic consideration previously discussed.

If I presented you with a choice between cow dung and human shit, would you consider human shit to be deserving of some credit?

Who's making a fucking choice? I simply he said deserved credit for a very narrow consideration and you translate that into making a choice? Get a grip. Stupid fucking argument.

That true. Our culture is being debased by irrationality and decadence masking as "progress". If your own sex isn't an objective fact then pretty much everything else is up for grabs. If you can destroy another human being just because he or she is really really young or very very old then we've forgotten what it means to be human. If one group of people can use censor words and symbols they don't like from public view then we've forgotten what liberty means. Its all about a bunch of asshole liberals trying to force their morality, which is really just a lack of decency, onto everyone else. Tolerance isn't good enough. You can't just leave other people alone, No. You will be made to care. If you do not embrace and celebrate the lifestyles and beliefs of liberals you will be forced to resign from your job or have your business taken away from you. So yeah, we're pretty livid.

Here's the problem I have: you're obviously intelligent enough to understand the counter-argument to that claim.

Which is that I, as a transgender woman, have both a male genotype and a male phenotype. These are objective facts. Notwithstanding this, there are other facts--pertaining to what is between my ears--that make me a transgender woman.

Disagree that sexual ambiguity can be manifested through neural structure (just as it can through other physical structures) if you want, but don't pretend that the current controversy over transgender people has anything to do with sex being "up for grabs." That's intellectually disingenuous.

I assume you're speaking of things like crosses on public land or the the 10Cs in court rooms. If so, you are being deliberately deceptive. You know damn well there is a big difference between religious symbols on private property and on public property. Nobody is trying to censor anything from view and you know it. On the other hand, we damn sure will always fight to keep the government from endorsing a religion - any religion. Separation of Church and State is vital to our liberty and we will defend any attack on it.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Yeah, because Christians have never abrogated the rights of others.

God almighty, how being treated equally hurts you believers!

"Herp de derp, I don't know the difference between sex and gender, refuse to learn anything about trans people before I speak, yet still expect people to take me seriously!"

"Herp de derp, maybe if I just straight up misrepresent the pro-choice and pro-euthanasia positions, people actually conversant in what those issues are won't call me out on my lazy strawmanning!"

Quote: If one group of people can use censor words and symbols they don't like from public view then we've forgotten what liberty means.

Hey, maybe you should go and check out your own corner's response to, say, satanist monuments, people giving secular addresses at government meetings, and trans people existing before you start squawking about the other side? In fact, maybe you'd benefit from a little perspective in general?

Quote: Its all about a bunch of asshole liberals trying to force their morality, which is really just a lack of decency, onto everyone else. Tolerance isn't good enough.

What, exactly, is tolerant about, to use your own tenor below, discriminating against a class of people in every respect you can possibly get away with, merely because you disagree with their life choices? Where is the... what kind of definition of tolerance are you even using?

So if you provide someone with equal goods and services as everyone else, you're celebrating their lifestyle? That's... the line you want to take here?

Or have you just not thought about this at all, beyond your rote talking points?

Things in the US are turning into a golden age for the progressive agenda; the Christian religious right has enough power to get a religious loon nominated to the Republican party (once the country's Trump fetish is over) but who will not be able to get elected in the general election come fall.  It may be that the USA will have a Democrat president for the next 16 or 24 years, making it the longest Democratic (or Republican) run in US history, for a total of around 3 decades (don't forget Obama, of course.)
