Can I just say, and I'm just being honest...
RE: Can I just say, and I'm just being honest...
I like wooden and metal best. I had to get rid of some because there's just not room for all of them here

This is one of six cast irons that I cook with. It's my largest and heaviest one. It weighs as much as a toddler

That's 14 inches in diameter of glorious cooking space.

Apparently that one needs to be re-seasoned.

Can I just say...

The habit of smoking can be said to have 3 sides to it.
All of them must be broken in order to quit for good.

1. The actual nicotine addiction. This can be broken with a steady reduction of the dose (i.e. Smoke less and less, or with nicotine patches, or with e-cigarettes where you can control the amount of nicotine in the liquid)

2. The habit of keeping that cylinder in your mouth. This is what gets people into eating a lot when they try to quit...keeping the mouth busy. There are other ways, like the before mentioned e-cigarette, or a pencil, or you can use healthy food there, like carrots or some other appropriate veggie.

3. The social aspect. You're among friends and everyone is smoking...except you... fuck that.

Note: nicotine helps in reducing your appetite, so, when you quit, your appetite tends to go up. Fill up on fiber rich snacks instead of sugary ones.

Advantages of being smoke free:
- the main one that people report is getting their sense of smell back. To smell food, to smell flowers...to smell the world. If you're a snooker and think you can smell these things...you ain't seen nothing yet! It's worth it!
- getting rid of the stench of smoke always following you. It's on your clothes, your home, your car, your purse, your curtains, your walls, your hair, your computer...it's everywhere.once you quit, try to clean everything to get rid of that awful stench.
- better breathing. Your lungs are clogged with crap from cigarettes... They have tar in them. Tar! The same crap they use to build roads! Getting rid of that is the best thing anyone can do for themselves. With better breathing, comes more oxygenation of the blood and easier exercise. Do get some exercise in! It will get progressively easier! Smile

I see what you're saying, *lights up cigarette*, but, *blows smoke*.

You can do it progressively or cold turkey.
From the few cases I know, cold turkey tends to have more lasting effects.
But...each case is a case.
Actually wanting to quit helps!
