Making your point, is it? How so? If it was the national government fucking them over. But I'm sure you have some delusion to support your fantasy.
Had all the folks on their feet tonight, I came home early as I am not drinking tonight, no delusion my friend, some European nations are on their last legs and are being propped up by the rest of us, keep paying your taxes with a smile on your face, but I'm not doing it anymore.

Tell that to Mister Osborne. He may have some bad news for you, last I heard in the news.

Since you were talking about singing, I'm sure, you know the old Beatles song.

Yeah, I'm the taxman

That's very specific. It's not a fetish of yours is it?

Luckily I know where there is still a branch of Woolworth's. You'll need to go to the main pedestrian area of Osterode, Lower Saxony in Germany. It looks like it has been around since the 80's so I am sure it will be there in the next few years.

The people were lied to at the last moment by Westminster when it started to look like we'd get independence.

That won't work again.

Correction. England and Wales need Scotland to stay. Scotland doesn't need to stay.

Shitty as the austerity measures are, but do you really think the Greeks would rather file for bankrupcy. Because that would have happened if they hadn't been dealt billions in EU tax money. Money out of my pocket too, by the way.
You could have saved a lot of money by simply giving the Greeks the money in the first place without them borrowing any of it from private sources.  You are now out of more money because the tax money that you just forked over repays the private sources their principal plus accrued interest.

I don't think it's helpful to even talk about Greece's financial problems because every country in the world is swimming in debt and due to the way the fractional reserve system works, debt grows exponentially over time. 2% inflation of an economy is considered healthy to stave off deflation. The only county in existence to ever recover from a huge national debt and get back into the black again was Britain and that was because it kicked off the industrial revolution. You can't rely on that happening again.

The financial system is fucked by the way it is designed. Banks need to loan money in order to survive. This creates money which is debt. It is inherent in the system. Every country is racing to the bottom. The system relies on an exponentially expanding economy, and all economies are driven by energy. What we're facing now is what a lot of people call the Long Emergency. Exponential curves all going in the wrong direction. Demand is increasing, cheap energy is decreasing, the capacity to pollute, the depletion of rare earth minerals, the growing population etc Unless we can do something on a par with the industrial revolution such as asteroid mining or fusion power, then what has happened with Greece will happen to every other country as well.

Thinking that this is the result of a political organisation, a political ideology or party is thinking too small. This is happening because living organisms by their very nature are Maximum Entropy Production Units.

Nigel Farage today resigned as Ukip leader, claiming he wanted his life back.

The MEP, who has been one of the country’s most recognisible Eurosceptic figures over the past ten years, made the announcement at a press conference in Central London.

Farage, who famously ‘unresigned’ as party leader last May, insisted today that this time his resignation was permanent.

In front of Ukip MEPs and other party officials, Farage made the shock announcement less than two weeks after the country voted to leave the European Union.
