I think what he's saying is that in her heart, she's ambivalent about LGBT rights. It's amazing how people slam the candidates they oppose for flip flopping but are all good with it on those they support. People were making the exact same arguments for gay marriage before, Hillary had heard that argument and rejected it back then. She didn't change her mind because she had some sudden revelations, but for cold political reasons. That's the problem that many people have with Hillary to start with. In fact it's the same thing that Democrats crucified Romney for. It's not so much about the individual issue so much as whether someone has principles and character and can be trusted. Do you really expect her to fight hard for LGBT rights when it's something she hardly believes in or only believes in for Political reasons? Probably not.

A politician needs no more reason to do anything than a political reason. If that guides them into making the right decision, I'm not going to complain.
I learnt long ago to never expect character or principle from a politician of either party.

People need to stop thinking Republicans are worse than Democrats. The lesser of two evils will keep getting more evil every election season unless people vote to get out of the shackles of the current two party system.
The voting out of fear is totally true. I think it's very ironic when people constantly go on about Republican fear-mongering of one side of their mouth, and then with the other say that the world will totally collapse if you don't vote for the Democrat. The best reason that most people can come up for for voting Hillary Clinton is that you should be scared of Donald Trump. That is the definition of fear mongering. Donald Trump is losing votes to Gary Johnson so Bernie people shouldn't fear voting for Jill Stein. Gary negates Jill's "spoiler effect". I bet the Bernie people will still get called sexiest for not voting fit Hilary even though they are voting for Jill.

I can't tell if they are when they make those statements, lol. Ask yourself this.....if the folks who'd made a "protest vote" for brexit simply -hadn't- voted......what would the results have been?
Well, I'm not going to make a protest vote for Hillary, against Trump. Because she just might win...and I'll have to know that I voted for that...and vv.
(We've spent the better part of my life with the white house being filled by members of just -two- american families...and the prospect of another decade of that doesn't make me happy..oligarchy, if I had no other complaint, would be enough for me)

Ah I understand you now. I'm the same way, well, at least my wife is. I think she's currently planning on voting for Gary Johnson. We're from Massachusetts anyway so I really doubt Trump will even come close to winning here. Since the electoral college is winner-take-all in Massachusetts, it won't make a difference.

I'll probably be voting Johnson myself. Texas is WTA, and Trump's got a solid lead.

Everyone in a "safe" state who doesn't want to vote for either Clinton or Trump should vote for the third party candidate that suits them best, IMO, rather than not voting. Not only will it give that candidate / party a higher chance of being included in the debates in the next election, it will also increase voter turnout, and remember, there are *lots* of other things being voted on that day.
If you're not in a safe state, you probably have more pressure to vote either Clinton or Trump, depending on which way you tend to lean politically. Don't let people pressure you though; it's your vote, nobody else's. People will try and blame you if the election goes the "wrong" way, but try not to let that affect you, because millions of people decide the election, not one person.
