Well my brother lived in the Philippians for 3 years and is married to a Filipina. So I do have some idea what it's like there. I also lived in Mexico for a year and South America for almost a year and traveled pretty extensively in the third world. I like the third world but it does make you appreciate the US. There are things I prefer about the simple life in other countries, but you can't really compare those to the US. Americans don't travel though. Generally they are too chickenshit. Talking shit about the USA and then afraid to leave. I'm serious though, I bet an excursion to the Philippians would do you some good.

I was on the verge of going there while I was in Malaysia and I just read of too many violent crimes in the newspaper and decided not to go.
The one that broke the camel's back was the report that a motorcyclist had ridden past a bus stop and decapitated two young girls.
Also, while in Borneo, there were quite a few places like Sandakan where the locals would warn you not to go to isolated beaches because you could be kidnapped by Philipino pirates.

I guess we already spoke about that abomination passing for human. That's the ticket he was using to win the elections. Gorilla style chest pounding and appealing to the most primitive instincts. Should sound familar to Europeans and Americans alike.
The difference between him and Trump is the difference between the Philippines and the USA. Let's just say, not being a citizen of the Philippines I'm less concerned over this guy than I am over a possible Trump victory. Both in economical terms as well as political ones.
