But apart from that, he was a nice well rounded individual...
I'll really miss him. His "arguments" are some of the most obscure and weird stuff I've ever read, but he always managed to be charming in the process.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Well I guess we will be spared the babble then, I count that as a win.
I didn't see eye to eye with MK, disagreed with him a lot obviously and he did babble on about a lot of nonsense, but to be fair to him, at least he was nice about it.

You know what they say - people never change their minds in public. I wonder if there's any chance that on some level he's actually questioning his beliefs...

Religious person, doesn't know how or why he's wrong. Can't even.
Atheist person, doesn't give two fucks about the former, makes up excuses to cover up that fact, sneers at the former because they feel guilty over it. Effectively doesn't help them but alienates them(exactly the opposite).
Who of the two seems more at fault here, to you?

You could take that position and apply it to pretty much every single difference of opinion any people will have.

With the tiny difference that most other such situations don't have a side that is demonstrably on the side of reason and objectivity. This is over-simplifying things and using the word atheist as an umbrella term, of course, but I think you get my point.

All being the key word here, this thing is practically universal at some level, among people like us.
But let me completely demolish this stupid saying, as an aside - I'm getting tired of seeing it.
Yes, we all have our faults. The most obvious thing ever uttered in the English language. The thing is though, people usually say it as if that justifies their behaviour. No, it actually doesn't. You do have your faults, but once your attention is brought to them it becomes your moral responsibility(if you will) to actively work on them. At least if you're still looking to hold some sort of moral high ground, which you definitely seem to seek if you're attempting to excuse yourself in the first place.
And what purpose does it even serve anyway? Does it make you feel better to repeat this little mantra? It seems to me, you either care or you don't. If you don't why even bother bullshitting. *I'm not talking to you, specifically, of course, but you know what I'm saying*

What did they expect? I really hate having to repeat myself. And the irony here doesn't even soothe me.
