I'm on Windows 10 now!!!!

The whole fucking brand new Windows installed 10000000 times faster than Windows 8.1 Did. Up and running. Easy.

Hammy, grab yourself an ubuntu live cd and play around with it. It's free, and nothing to install, so no headaches. Windows is literally "a nightmare dressed like a daydream" Big Grin

That's why I said you should run it from a live cd instead of installing ubuntu. Or grab a virtuallization software and install it as a virtual OS. Either way, try and get a feel for it so the you can move on to the linux world when M$ eventually screws up again.

No install required. The live CD boots and runs from the CD. Never even touches your hard drive. Lets you load it, play with it, run it. Then pull the CD out, reboot and your Windows install is exactly as you left it. Of course will run much slower running from the CD than it would from the hard drive. But it lets you see what the install will look like and explore how everything works without changing your hard drive in the slightest.
