Well, given that you suggest that people were punished and died for interference, I find myself wondering what they could have done that would call for such extreme retribution. Especially when there are plenty of people out there who have committed extreme atrocities, yet remain alive and maybe even unpunished.

By making such claims, Godschild, it calls your God into question (in my mind); or your understanding of events that unfold and the correctness of  your assignment to your God of such extremist acts.

It also calls to mind the lack of responsibility of those governing activities, and their abilities to select appropriate people to accomplish their tasks, and their culpability in events that occurred.

So, I am just asking questions to make sense of your claims and what exactly could those who suffered have done that was so egregious?

 Yes there are those who have committed atrocities that we would consider worse, but then it's not up to us to decide who commits the worst atrocities against God's holy work, that belongs to Him. When people interfere in God's work to bring salvation to those He will lead to salvation that is an egregious act that God want let alone. Yes I could give you all the details of what they did but, you wouldn't think they were awful enough to warrant such punishment. I've been here to long and read to much  to believe otherwise. So you'll just have to accept what I've said as the truth or not and decide things for yourself. I've not given you a reason to believe me a liar and I hope you will take that into account.

Some became ill with sickness that lasted the rest of their lives, some died from different things, one lost his spouse to the handyman something that brought a huge embarrassment to his prideful life.

Right off the bat, the story is complete bullshit....but, if you're going to lie for christ, at least put your back into it.  

I'm pretty sure that people get sick and die with regularity.  Especially the demographic of churchgoers..all getting long in the tooth.   Similarly, cheating spouses are common among the faithful.   This is just your average day on earth.  You, however, would like to spin a narrative for us in which a limp wristed god punishes people, in this way, over a pile of sticks?

 You seem to be fairly smart so explain why it only happened to the ones that caused trouble before anyone else, and why did most of those who did not die repent to the church. I'm not a liar, you can stick that notion where the sun doesn't shine.
