Free will is still my will to freely do what I want.

Non-sequitur.
Might want to reconsider.

Meh I'm done expressing my disagreement with you, tired of being underwhelmed by non-sequiturs, stawmen and red herrings.

Perhaps you should freely will yourself to learn some logic? You might have an easier time communicating what it is you mean and think free will is or can do.
Sorry, couldn't help it. ![]()
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Maelstrom is completely irrational about this and acts worse than theists in conversation about it. I did anything I could to help the conversation move forward, but he just kept evading my questions and shifting topics like it's nothing. I really think he's trolling, no doubts about it.
I bought ice cream today. I thought "Hmmmm, I think I would like some ice cream." So walked into a corner store, looked at the selection, and thought, "Hmmmmm. . . which ice cream shall I choose today? I think, today. . . vanilla." So I bought the ice cream that I wanted.
That's not an example of free will, it's my DEFINITION of it-- free will is being able to buy the motherfucking ice cream of your choice. |
