I'm not sure who's more foolish, Trump himself or the idiots who believe him.
Important, because regardless of whether or not it can be done, american soldiers will spill their blood out doing what they're told. This, from the party of the troops?
I think not.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It's fascinating to me how elections will turn normally nice people into something else entirely.
It's also fascinating how just because I threw a stone into the Bernie camp that automatically makes me a Trump supporter - which I'm not.
Nice ad-hom BTW
You did not throw a stone at the Bernie camp, you threw a stone at the poor, dispossessed, homeless, elderly, ill, disabled, veterans, and anyone else who might need a "social program" in their lives.
In short, you showed you are a shallow and selfish person. You spouted off like a Trump supporter would, even if you do not support him.
I will also willingly support my neighbors, because it behooves me to have neighbors who are cared for, not hungry, sick and desperate. And it behooves them to do the same for me. Plus, I just hate to know others are suffering while a little of my money could help so many.
Do you know why I don't shot at Walmart? Because I want to support stores that pay their employees a living wage. I am willing to pay a little extra of my own cash, so the bagboy and the produce manager can afford to live in a decent place, not a cockroach infested slum.
Be the change you want to see in the world. It really means something!

Well said. I hate to see people dying in the streets. I also agree on avoiding certain retailers since they treat their staff like...well...shit.

Indeed. The best support our troops can get -- the support they need -- is the support the civilian leadership can give by not putting them in no-win situations any more.

Well put. At the height of the Afghan War (or maybe Iraq - these things run together in my mind), I recall seeing vid of a protest in the US where more than one person was holding a sign reading 'Support Our Troops - Bring Them Home'.

Be delighted. First, provide me with your distribution plans, coded by need, geography, type of aid. Then, I'll need to review your organizational charts to make sure you can move my money in a reasonably effective and efficient manner. While you're about it, outline the infrastructure you plan to use to distribute my money.
Like any politician, I'll tell you all good things, show you good numbers, get your money, and then spend it on something else entirely.

He's just venting - I understand.
Yeah, that money needs to go to rich corporations, and the war effort.

Surely you can see how criticizing a criticism of Trump might appear to be defending Trump, no?
I didn't criticize his criticism - I criticized him.
