I think those advices pretty much mount up to caring. That's that the article is actually doing, trying to make caring a science. 'Cause if you care enough, you're going to do all those things(and more) all by yourself. If you don't, then you don't really need the article anyway, do you?

I tend to listen intently. Many years ago I discovered it to be the key to being a good conversationalist.

Mostly my conversations these days are professional in nature. So I am very careful to be polite and not waste time.

I am very careful with whom I am friends. So those who are I find worth listening too.

I save most of my silly arse stuff for atheist forums or when with other drummers.
This recent escapee from TTA forums is on heavy drugs costing $25.000.00 per week. They affect my mind at times. Excuse me if I react out of the norm.

You got dragged up a dark alley, had your throat slit open with a strop razor and all your intesticles ripped out in a pile next to your still steaming corpse, you just had to pick yourself up, dust yourself down and just carry on. At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

My grandma does it as you're speaking. It's like some sort of nervous twitch. You're trying to tell her something and she's trying to guess everything you say before you say it...lol
