I'm not a prude but I am serially monogamous. I don't think my sex life is the business of any government or church and think both institutions should STFU about it. If some god disapproves of my sex life, he can damned well tell me himself, without the intermediaries.

I doubt those people have daughters (and mothers, but even Hitler had a mom) and want them to be sexually promiscuous town sluts, with a dozen children from a dozen men.  Which can and would happen regardless of precautions or such.

Actually, some precautions are very effective at preventing pregnancy. You can dismiss them out of hand if you wish, but that doesn't mean they don't exist, it means their existence makes you uncomfortable enough to enter denial.

As to the "dangers" of promiscuity...meh. I'll be getting my daughters vaccinated as soon as possible against HPV, and I'll buy them the rubbers and the pills if they're too silly to ask for them. I'm raising them to respect themselves and be open with me. I mean, I guess I could turn sex into a taboo...because that works so damned well...but why would I? The worst that could happen is a kid....and that's -the worst-......only if you don't like kids, which I do, even if you see them as some sort of societal disease.

Was going to post this on anther thread but decided to make it one.

I have 2 daughters and 1 son and when they're old enough to have sex if they choose to be sexually promiscuous then more power to them. I only hope they've learned enough from me to be responsible when it comes to staying clean.
