AHH THIS IS PERFECT I JUST THOUGHT OF A JOKE YESTERDAY AND DIDNT HAVE ANYONE TO TELL IT TO!!!
There was an elderly gentleman who lived in Norway. His house was right on the water in an enormous fjord, and he had lived there his entire life of 80 years. Finally, his children convinced him to go on vacation with them to Australia.
Unfortunately, when he was in Australia, he suffered a heart attack. The doctors told the family there was very little chance he would survive the night, but when morning came around the old man was still kicking. He and his family decided to try and make it back home to Norway, and he left the hospital, leaving the doctors baffled at his survival.
The first leg of the flight back was a stop-over in Hong Kong. When the plane landed, the old man's family noticed that he had turned a rather pale shade of orange, and they sought out the nearest hospital. While they got there, the doctors told the family that the man would be dead within the hour, as both his heart and liver were failing. Amazingly, though, he did not die, and two days later he walked out of the hospital, heart failure and liver failure and all. The doctors had no explanation. He and his family went back to the airport and proceeded once again to go home.
The final stop on the journey was in Rome. The old man was nearly comatose when the plane landed, and he was once again rushed to a hospital. The ER doctors solemnly informed the family that the old man would die any minute, as his heart, liver, lungs and kidneys had all stopped working. Even as they prepared to call his time of death, however, his heart rate monitor kept giving a faint "boop boop boop", and the old man just would not die. After a week in that state, he and his family decided to give it one final try to get him home to Norway. The doctors thought it miraculous that the man had survived.
Finally, the man and his family got back to Oslo, and drove back to the man's home. The family doctor was there at the house to meet them, but it was to no avail: as the man stepped out of the car, he took one final look at his home, smiled, and breathed his final breath.
The old man's family was heartbroken but praised the miracle of his persistence that allowed him to see his home one final time before he died.
