I'm nice in most circumstances.
As sad as it may sound I probably spend most my waking moments in work, and everyone for the most part is kind and helpful to each other in work.
Predictably though if there's a battle for resources things will get tribal and so will I.
I'm nice but I'm not that proud of it, put me in a position where I'm not getting any sex, food, water or money and I could be a raping, murdering, stealing scoundrel.

A 'fun', 'nice guy' story:
It was like two years ago, it was my friends birthday party. We were all having fun, we had pretty much done everything so we decided to go out and grill some hotdogs and such while playing 'rugby' in his backyard, but without teams nor goals, it was pretty much trying to hold the ball for as long as you can, while the others are trying to tackle you and take the ball. There was something about tackling each other, we were all drawn to it. However, I wasn't too fond of the tackling and killing each other, usually I stood by and watched, but this time I said, sounds fun, fuck it, I'm in. So, we were all having fun, alright, and then, I see the ball, nice, now I'm holding it. I run around for five eternal seconds trying to avoid getting tackled, but, it gets really quiet... I look around.

I'm neural to the shitbags though. I shut them out. Or I strive to protect my friends from them but only when they say that they need my help. My friends are awesome and they can take care of themselves. Everyone is always welcome to confide in me if they need any help. I love venters. And I seem to have finally vented myself to oblivion. Metaphorically speaking.

I always try to be a nice person and I think I usually succeed but I think my social skills fucking suck. I feel like I'm both prosocial and anti-social. Anti-social as in I'm actively social in a way that no matter how hard I try to be prosocial a lot of the time it seems to annoy or frustrate people. And I'm such a stubborn cunt.
So I guess maybe instead of myself voting "yes" the answer in my case is "I try to be but only sometimes succeed."
I feel hypersocial.
