Atheism and vegetarianism

RE: Atheism and vegetarianism
My dad and grandad never had or did any of those things. Just straight and simple beheading.
I do disagree on how animals are treated on their way there and while there. Animals all over are put through needless crualty.
All the animals at my grandad's farm were always treated right. Even when it came to the beheading. Quick and painless. Just alot of mess. Big Grin
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

If you are going to kill something...just Kill It!!

Don't mess about or stand there debating about it! Badger

As for vegitarianism or veganism...to each his own...tried it and I ended up so ill took 5 years to get back to normal. Angry

As far as I know it is a 15 year program .... I couldn't make two before becoming ill.... recommend you speak to your doc before you start down that road.

Me?? Happily an Omnivore!! if it ain't moving ...it's lunch...mind you I can't eat anything that is still looking at me... Angel Cloud

In chicken slaughter factories the chickens are hung upside down on a conveyer belt and run through a electrified bath to stun them so the line up well for the decapitation blades. For the slaughter of just 2 or 3 chickens that is a bit too elaborate.

Cows are usually stunned by placing 2 specials cushions on the temples of the animal and run a high amp current through it. The animal is then so stunned it doesn't feel the neck being slid so it can bleed dry. It is very important that the animal feels as little as possible as adrenaline spoils the meat.

I used to live on a farm so I've seen it all, and I still enjoy a good steak like so many people.

I'm a pescetarian because that's the way I was brought up (my mum is one). I'm pretty fussy but I have tried other meats, I didn't like them.

I think that is the most valid reason for any diet I've heard so far. Big Grin

Is anyone a vegan or vegetarian here? Seems like there are pescetarians but no vegetarians.

Are we all agreed that fish do not deserve our pity and are yummy? SUSHI FTW!!!

We kill humans for so many other reasons that eating them seems irrelevant.

Another happy omnivore here. Our ancestors did not claw their way to the top of the food chain so I could eat veggie burgers. The human body evolved to hunt, kill and eat other animals. Our nearest relatives in the wild do it, and that's all the evidence I need to show that we are too.
The one thing everybody needs to remember is that I never claimed to be sane!
