Metalheads Discussion

RE: Metalheads Discussion
Man, I can just never get into the real death metal.  The sound of the vocals always makes me think of a T-Rex that's just learned it enjoys gargling cum.

I remember when nice, peaceful stuff like this was considered metal:

or this. . .

. . . actually literally anything from this list: http://rateyourmusic.com/list/MJ7/100_gr...tal_songs/

As a side-note discussion: I despise vocals where I have to read accompanied text to a music video to make out what the hell they're singing. Also the reason I'll probably never like grounge "singing" or other alike vocals where I can't understand what they're singing. I don't know where this started, but it is the first reason I'll stop listening to a metal song with such bullshit noise.

So is it safe to say you are not a fan of Demilich?

If you can understand the lyrics, it's not metal enough. Same if you can read the logo

Exactly! And if you insist on a human readable logos and plain lyrics, at least make it Rune speak or something

That's Faroese. Not some "rune" speak, lol.

Funnily enough, I happen to understand and speak it.

@Sal,

I've been a longtime fan of the band, I know it's Faroese, I was just being facetious Smile

Why do you speak it? Are you from Iceland or Norway? (I assume you're not from the Faroe islands?)
