Just joined, 8/23/2010. Atheist from Wisconsin,USA. Left/liberal politically, but I still like to play with guns. I post on a few other atheist/skeptical sites, and spend way too much time playing WoW!
The one thing everybody needs to remember is that I never claimed to be sane!

Mostly to confuse the rest of the world, I guess! Is the U.S. system common in South and Central America, too then? I never really checked into it much.

No, South and Central America also use the metric system as well as the dd/mm/yyyy format. For some odd reason the Americans still stick to their outdated imperial system.
