My personal experience of nearly six decades says otherwise.  In My case, satisfaction leads to confidence and the desire to tackle something even more challenging.  This is in accord with the work on "flow" by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, whom I consider to be a reputable authority on the subject of human happiness.

It doesn't say loss of consciousness you illiterate fuck, it says loss of self-consciousness which means that during the "flow" you are not self-conscious, which means you are not thinking about your person.
