Boru
For their time probably pretty educated.
I remember being presented with a medieval sheet at university where some clergyman was called "hochgelahrt man". Which translates into highly learned man. And I was musing, what could you have known to deserve that title. Not only have you been born into the most ignorant century of the middle ages, you also were a clergyman. So you basically knew nothing or real value.

Sorry, but post hoc reinterpretations of Bible passages to try to shoehorn them to fit modern discoveries , are pretty weak arguments at best.
You do know that the Muslims do the exact same thing with the Koran, right? Just google "scientific discoveries koran" or something similar. And their examples of the same thing you are doing are just as 'impressive', meaning, not at all.
I'll bet you don't give their examples any credence. Special pleading is another fallacy you missed in your list.

The plural of "bad evidence" does not equal good evidence. It's just a bigger load of crap evidence.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

You would have to make a huge assumption that the writer of Job knew about hydrothermal vents at the very bottom of the sea when all iron age humans would know that surface water ran into the sea. The burden of proof for this claim is upon you.
Job is my favorite book in the Bible. Even above Deuteronomy it proves the inhumane and sadistic nature of the god of Abraham. God makes a gentleman's bet with Satan that Job was too much of a groveling sheep to ever complain and then let's Satan fuck with him hard. Satan kills Jobs daughters, sons, wife, all his livestock, destroys his home. Jobs faith in his tormentor never wavers. God then (as soldat due christs reference points to) gives Job a good tongue lashing to make sure he knows who is master in this Master/ Slave bondage fantasy. Jobs bounty Is restored because he was such a good slave but no tears are shed for the innocent victims of god's/ satan's battle of the egos

I love these opportunities. Strawmmanning someone is arguing against something that the opponent -did not- present. Not arguing against something that they did. It's no ones fault but your own if you failed to accurately or fully communicate your own silly ass arguments.
I wonder how long it;s going to take for you to get one of these right by accident? I assume it has to happen eventually.

If it's more of the same, don't bother.
Maybe time to start another thread topic.

Yeah, they where a stretch though, by alot. Nowhere near as clear as what the bible reveals. Also, the Koran says the bible is the inspired word of god. So if the koran was true,
That would make the bible true, and because the bible ia true, all other additions to scripture are false. Alot of you guys who like to write them all off as the same thing, realy don't understand the difference in relevence, historicity, revelation, prophecy, etc. But i expect as much.
You know i havn't been running around here arguing with everybody thinking i'd 'win some souls to the Lord', i fully expected some general dissmisal of what i have to say.
Now what i was and still am hoping for, are good reasons why all of my reasons are not justified. All i keep hearing is disbelief

Lol no. Your attempt to gather evidence from the bible is stretching every bit as much as the same attempts with the Koran.
We're giving you a general dismissal because you are giving us little more than bald assertions. Try supporting your arguments more instead of just whining about us not believing you.
I don't believe you. Get over it.
