I think the viewers are down because it became harder to "just eat popcorn and watch". The show is getting more complicated, the relationships deeper and simply: it requires constant watching; it's not zombie smashing and bashing anymore.

For example, take the weird air between Dwight and Daryl. Or Rosita handeling herself after Abraham's death (I think she will join the Saviors BTW).

But I came here mainly to share a scene where she says that her name; so hot. Hotter than anything!

I loved seeing more of Dwight's and Eugene's stories. Really just expanding on lesser known characters in general was sorely needed. This episode sticks out as being not more of the same. What's interesting is we saw both characters on their way to switching their respective sides, but by the end I think they just met in the middle. I feel like the end where Dwight and Eugene were sort of sizing each other up hinted at a possible team up.

And that damn song. When Eugene's fate as Negan's prisoner was slowly being revealed to him and he was being shown to his room, I still felt like the other boot was going to drop. I feel like when he locks the door and hits play on the stereo, that was the director saying to us that this was Eugene's version of what they put Darrel through. Even when the wives were asking him to betray Negan, I thought that was a test to see if he could be trusted.

I gotta say, though, I completely saw him submitting to Negan, but I didn't think he'd enjoy it as much as it looked like he did. But! At the very end, there was a hint of this being part of his plan to get out or on top. What do you think?

I don't agree; Extian. I thought the episode was boring as hell. The show without Rick's group poking the scene is just off. It's just as terrible as the one with Morgan and the guy with the stick.


Nothing against Eugene and Dwight, but they would not fair nicely on the entertainment scale without the main actors.

You have a point, the stars of the show are the stars for a reason. But I enjoyed learning about those characters because they don't exist in a vacuum and what happens to them will effect Rick and his crew.

Similarly, Rick and his crew don't exist in a vacuum. The problem with only having episodes center around them is that it starts to look like they do exist in a vacuum. It gets boring and stale when they don't have to deal with new elements. And without fleshing out the other members of Rick's crew they all start to lose their personalities. "We are Rick"

Sorry, Rosita. She didn't join the saviors anyhow, her shitty attitude in the last episodes. Was because Abraham went pshhhh.
I hate Sasha. The fact she isn't around the comics and the fact Bob and Tyrece had to go and she would not, made me hate her even more.

She sucks. And her angry attitude is so fake, Michone's and Rosita's are more at peace with anger.

So Sasha sucks.

The didn't make an appearance, but Carol will always be in my heart.

, the backstory and character motivations sucked even further, so I don't see what was there to be excited about. I'd have preferred if they focused a bit more on how Daryl got over his guilt of getting Glenn killed while being locked in the basement with the woman whom he shouldn't even be able to look in the eye anymore. Rosita's approach to learning survival skills would've seemed great had we been shown said amazing skills in action, but so far every single character, including "coral" seems equally, if not better skilled than her at surviving. And yeh, I am not very impressed by her knot making skills either (if you wanna show off your knotting skills at least make the trucker's hitch )

They did have eyes on the situation... so they may have turned on the walky when they saw the idiot (can't remember his name) pick it up to relay whatever Negan told him

yeah.... so those two girls want to get Negan for taking out Abraham. Alright... but why do it in such a crappy way? Why go in? So, the guy's indisposed... just wait... he'll come out eventually.
Anyone with any knowledge of combat will tell you that a ranged surprise attack is always better than a stealth infiltration job... oh... scratch stealth... guns blazing! LOL!

Also... no clean shot?! Let the armour piercing bullet go through two bodies... it'll work.
Stupid Rosita had him not more than 3 metres away and failed to see a huge bat in the way of the bullet she was shooting!?!! oh, that was some time ago...
Those two are the worst at shooting someone.
And they somehow fail to remember that, if they screw up, they'll be traced back to Rick's group and... more deaths.

Daryl's turning out to be a great character... one that doesn't show up in the comics, or so I've heard...

And what's the deal with that other group with the leader that has a weird haircut and speaks like a dumb idiot? How have those guys survived the year (or however long it's been) since the zombie virus broke?!

Sometimes, it feels like Rick's group is the unlucky one that has to keep moving from one place to the next and gets caught up in these crazy "adventures"... All other groups get established and then remain perfectly fine for the rest of time... The governor's town would have gone on, had they not met Rick; the 3 guys in the prison were holed up neatly with food to spare; the CDC guy was doing relatively well; Hershel in his farm was okay and clean.... The folk at Terminus had their stuff going perfectly... The saviours and Hilltop and the kingdom were in a sort of peaceful arrangement...
Rick rolls in and disturbs everyone!

The Saviours must know that their dependence on other groups' scavenging ability will someday run out... there's only so much you can scavenge from neighboring towns.
Industry and farming must be rebuilt. A political leader must come forth, one backed by a military force, at first, yes... but one who gets the cooperation of the nearby camps and groups mostly by talking and not by threatening... that rules out the Negan approach... but he's close.

Failsafes must be put in place for when people die, so they don't turn. The roaming zombies need to be put out... slowly expanding the territory available for farming and living. Mining needs to be picked up. Oil extraction and refining would need to be done. Doctors should be training as many people as possible in that art. Pharmaceutical labs should be a priority to get back up and running...
Rebuild a peaceful society, with the extra awareness that the dead people start walking again, because a sort of virus is reactivating their brainstem.

The walking dead are at the end of their "life" cycle...they're close to being goop now. I imagine the network is planning on wrapping things up soon. One more season for sure; Two tops.

Haven't tuned in much the past few months, but, I reckon I'll check out the season finale. Perhaps, there'll be a surprise, like...
