Will the Islamists kill Islam?

I don't know where people are getting the idea from that Christianity had virtually disappeared in The UK by Victorian times. This was Victorian England we're talking about here, there was religious morality-policing everywhere whenever a woman wore "scandalous" make-up or bared even her wrists in public. It was a very puritanical Anglican Christian, socially conservative and sexually repressive era.

As for Islam, it's not going to reform while the conversation around Islam is divided between extremes of defensive apologetics on one side and vilification of all Muslims on the other. It's a fight that needs nuance, solidarity with Muslim dissenters and apostates, and promotion of their narratives and voices. You make their voices heard, then hopefully they can popularise a liberal secular movement among Muslims that can become more mainstream. This can open up Muslims being able to selectively choose how much Islam they practice, like Christians are now able to with Christianity.

Noone said it had dissappeared, however the stereotype is wrong. Once the law requiring church attendance with fines for non-compliance was repealed attendance fell dramatically. there is vast swathes of other evidence showing a vastly more complex picture than that touted about by those wanting to return to a non-existant halcyon period.
Eg; the most common profession in London was Prostitute.

Islam is not a barberic faith; but the masses believing in it have barbarians in their ranks.

But all we need is a war to see the real level of "civility" that modern human have. Heck, you modern people must own "nuclear arsenals" to join the VIP club.
The amount of barberity modern humans show in warfare, is nothing more but ISIS multiplied by...1000? perhaps?

The barbarity of ISIS is a religion practiced to control certain parts in Syria, a code of control; it is used daily by all modern armies, we even saw it in WW2 not so long. People tend to forget the alliance's blind incendiary bombs over Dresden, or the Nazi famous Holocaust.

Btw, the Mexican drug cartels are infamous for beheading and hacking of victims.

As for ISIS, I need to ask about many things now:

1-Why do most of these people have western passports? Jihadi John...cough cough
2-Why do they always cross the borders from the west in swarms? 
Yes, the swarms of  unemployed Iraqi youth too (who lost jobs because of the American invasion of Iraq, torture in prisons...etc) serve well in the mad Caliphate that has no toilets. 
3-How does an allience of so many nuclear superpowers fail to defeat Jihadi John?
4-Why are we hearing so many stuff about Sykes Picot 2?
5-Why don't the alliance bomb ISIS just like it did to Hitler, and end this war already?

But to answer your topic; no. There are Muslims who aren't terrorists, who love beauty and adore peace, and destroy the monsters who beat the drums of war -on both sides- via spreading tolerance and forgiveness instead of political hypocrisy,plots, military invasions and death.

There are Muslims with an untold story trying to fix the world that was so filled by the darkness of sin. Nobody will kill Islam, but I can assure you that modern humans will blow themselves to pieces in a short amount of time. Atomic bombs are not Sci-Fi.

Nevertheless DAESH et al are dragging islam into disrepute.
As for nukes etc. We`ve been trying to get rid of the bloody things for decades. There seems to have been a pause in disarmament with Putin though I hope that will be resumed in not too distant future.
