I swear, someone needs to to straighten that woman out, and remind her where the goddamned kitchen is...and that it's her DUTY to be there. Tongue

I'm guessing this?

Rock Cornish game hens

I won't make the mistake I made last year. I was going to make a completely vegan dinner, but there simply isn't enough meat on them. You need a dozen for one serving. Just not worth the work.

The free range hipster Christmas dinner came off pretty well, but everything tasted like Starbucks.

What did that entail? Just Starbucks?

I hear ya.  Damn women, right?

J/K, I do most of the cooking here.  But my menu for next Thursday is being set by a local grocer, Berkeley Bowl West.  All I'm adding is my steamed brussel sprouts swimming in horseradish and butter.  Lia's cousin is making and bringing a persimmon pudding.  That and the pumpkin pie seems like plenty of dessert to me.  Le menu:

12 -14 Lb. Roasted Free Range Turkey Dinner
2- qt. House Made Turkey Dressing

2- qt. Real Mashed Potatoes
1- qt. Candied Yams
1- qt.  Green Bean Casserole
1- qt. House Made Turkey Gravy
1- pt. Cranberry Relish
1- dozen Le Boulanger Traditional Dinner rolls
1- 9” Pumpkin Pie
