Ah, well it might mean that he's not subject to the Goldwater rule (although I'm not sure, they might still have to abide by APA ethical guidelines.), but he's even less qualified to make a diagnosis without talking to a patient then a fully trained psychologist. I think that rule is a good one. There are psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists of every political and religious bent. You can get someone to say that any politician is mentally unfit, so I put no stock in any diagnosis made in lieu of examination and questioning.

Edit: I googled the author of that article, he's not even a real therapist, he's a hypnotherapist from New Jersey. So you can pretty much wipe your ass with his diagnosis.

Right but all I'm qualified to say is that I wouldn't be surprised if he had a disorder, which is all the hypnotherapist who wrote that article is qualified to say either. It's plain to see for anyone that everything isn't as it should be inside the mind of the Drumpf. At least for anyone who reads his tweets, which might as well be composed by a hormonal 13 year old. I mean, officially, amateur diagnosis can be extremely problematic in many cases, but, that said, we've got the diagnostic criteria for Anti-Social Personality Disorder (and most, if not all, of the disorders in the DSMs, both IV and V), and we've got Trump smearing his shit all over Twitter, laying his penchant for bullshitting American society all over the news nonstop for a year and a half (with at least four more years to come), and with all this in mind, it's astonishingly easy to make the case that Trump's behaviour fits the diagnostic criteria for ASPD.

Hell, earlier in this thread, I managed to make a pretty good case that he fits all seven of the criteria (and given that A: it can be difficult to tell the sociopaths from the potential role models, and B: You only need to fit three criteria, that's quite the accomplishment).

That said, even on the off-chance that he submits to a therapist's diagnosis, it's not like they can actually do anything about it. Not only are there no approved treatments, but it's so easy for a sociopath to bullshit his way into convincing people (even some therapists) he's normal it can be difficult to tell the difference.
