Unfortunately, if you actually want fiscal responsibility the last person you vote for is a conservative. For conservative politicians fiscal responsibility means shifting the tax burden from rich to poor and welfare receipt from poor to rich.

I guess the better question would be what's wrong with conservatism? Or what's wrong with it turned into during these last decades?
I grew up viewing myself as a moderate conservative. I don't think I have changed as much as the parties have moved much further to the right. A journey I wasn't willing or able to take. In the case of America, even Nixon would be considered a bleeding heart liberal, maybe even the two Bushes. I wonder if even Saint Ronald would find a place with todays Republicans.

If you don't like him, leave the country. Problem solved.

Leaving the country would only delay the inevitable.
The only solution is that, every mentally-adult-voter realizes that voting isn't just a right but a responsibility.

Would you still moan if the election didn't go the way you wanted it to?

Why should they leave?

I am not moaning because of the election but because of the current scenario.
If a candidate that I supported won, I'd be happy, but if that same candidate X started antagonizing world super powers with random tweets, setup inept stooges on all power positions, and showed no hope of future improvement, I'd be equally distressed.

Yes, I've responded to this point already in my reply to FNM. Did you not read that?

Both conservative and liberal ideologies bring their own sets of valid points, imho.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Entrust the running of nations and governments to advanced AI, since humanity has repeatedly and consistently been shown as incapable of being trusted with its own destiny.
