This is AWESOME!!!

Obvi it's not shat, or nemoy but it is very well done, and there are guest appearences from those who support the project. These super Fans (including Grant emihara from mythbusters) recreated several sound stages throughout the ship . They did a top knoch job! there is a lot of love that went into this project to try to stay true to the original as possible and yet tie in what we know of the expanded universe.

The objective for these guys is to finish "the 5 year mission!" I look forward to it.

Been watching these guys for ages. I even posted about them a couple of times. Roddenberry's niece, iirc, gave them her seal of approval. And Chris Doohan as Scotty? Even Abrams didn’t care enough about that.

The sets are as close as you can get to the original studio layout.

Vic Mignona even appears in the MMORPG Star Trek Online, though not as Kirk.

Because TOS was cancelled prematurely - it was supposed to be a five year mission.
