I stop by to check on mafia, and see this. This is just so seriously sad.
Of course, she was reportedly already ill, and at her age, losing her daughter that way.  What a terrible family tragedy. :Sad I keep thinking I should change my avatar, but new reasons keep popping up to keep it.  I feel for the family members left behind, they have been dealt a great deal of grief to cope with.

That sucks. Unfortunately i t can be quite common with family but morso with old longtime spouses. I am quite sure her sudden illness was due to the stress of her daughter dying.

I heard a story a couple years ago on the news. An old couple was found dead outside at the bottom of the steps of their house on a could icy winter day. After the investigation and autopsies on both. Police theorized that the wife went out the door to get something briefly slipped on the icy steps and cracked her neck or head. Husband came out later to see where she was, saw her and had a sudden heart attack.

Sad very sad for any family. But to have one death and another sudden illness so close together has to be ripping that family and their friends to shreds emotionally.

Interesting factlet: Carrie Fisher played her most iconic roll ('Star Wars') at 19. Debbie Reynolds played her most iconic roll ('Singin' In The Rain' ) at...19.

This is pretty funny in places. Might be cathartic for some.

"If Carrie was here I bet she would make a joke that it was just like her mom to upstage her even in death."
