My mom does not bake. I do. My grandmother , however , could have opened her own bakery.  She baked a lot but her pies were the best.

Looking forward to my sweetheart's apple pie.

No, that isn't a double-entendre. Smile

My grandparents are dead and I don't talk to my parents. So... nothing.

I'm interested in getting into baking, though. We'll see.

I love filo. I make excellent spanikopita. My grandma made amazing baklawa.

Pound cake was pretty common when I was a kid. Or sugar cookies. Though I think the sugar cookies were mostly for my grandfather, and he called me a warty brat because I kept eating the good ones when I was over.

Well, all three of those wonderful ladies are dead, but Mam's speciality was barmbrack, a kind of soda bread made with dried fruit. Glorious.

Granny Shannon got away before I was born, but I have very fond memories of Granny McPhee's fadge (and no, not a double entendre, either - fadge is a potato cake which is baked and then pan fried. Serious comfort food).
