RE: Questions about Debate
We could debate why God never stops us banning his followers, and why he never provides them with any new arguments or evidence to convince anyone with.

Or the fact that he knows his followers will fail but sends them anyway.

RE: Questions about Debate
Ultimately, all debates by their very nature require the process of logic.
Logic is based on evidence and universally agreed upon truths, eg:1+1=2, etc.

You can argue the importance of eg: benefits of religion to those in need, emotional happiness, etc using debate.
But you can't prove something unfalsifiable like a magician in the sky. Why bother?

It just becomes a pissing contest very quickly.

RE: Questions about Debate
That is the problem. Any debate about God is very unlikely to even get off the ground. You're lucky if it even gets past the stage of defining terms in a coherent fashion.

RE: Questions about Debate
Isn't that enough proof on it's own just there to confirm that our friend MK is completely misguided.
He hasn't realised how the above works. This tells me he has no idea of what even constitutes as logic to start with.
Then again, like many other people, some theists have zero critical thinking skills to begin with... That's just life.
There's others here also.

This has no real bearing on your belief system IMO. MK is likely to fall for other scams as well due to his lack of critical thinking skills.

RE: Questions about Debate
Indeed, it should be. But I suppose he thinks he has defined things coherently, and he thinks he has good logic and thinking skills. We can tell he hasn't, but he's way beyond any sort of serious reflection on these matters.

I don't know how people can't see the horrible flaws in their logic. Do they really not understand, or is their fanatical clinging to their religion warping their thoughts? I'm not sure.
