GC. That and the tyranny of distance I believe is why it will never happen (for us).
That's not to say that there isn't an Earth/Mars planetary relationship somewhere far far away where they actually go to within reasonable travelling times.
Or possibly having colonised other close planets nearby as an extension of their home world.
But the Star Wars / Start Trek style of travel and meeting sexy 60's dressed aliens is just fantasy sadly.

Maybe other civilizations are just happy keeping to themselves and don't need to broadcast what they do every five minutes. It's a bit stupid really, what with all those alien UFO invaders you hear about.
I realized how funny it is to say, "That looks like a UFO!"

I do not believe there is life on other planets and it's due to my belief and knowledge as a Christian. However I do like the sci-fi space movies that have great special effects, I'm a Star Wars fan, I view all these movies as entertainment without the possibility of reality. Most of them are no different than the cowboy movies in their theme, good vs evil. So I say keep those great special effects coming in space movies.

So, if we find life on another planet would you finally admit your religion is bs?

I am afraid Jesus has completed the task of snuffing out his last brain cell. It didn't take long apparently.

I find it hard to believe there wouldn't be other life out there, and being a theist actually only supports that for me personally. God is much too big to have meant life to form in only one little planet.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

And up there somewhere in this vast universe is a squid being nailed to a piece of coral at the very moment so that all sinner squids can have their original ink stained washed away and with faith in the one true squid shall have salvation.
