The ones with the bearskin hats are Grenadier Guards, the second most senior regiment in the British army below the Queen's Life Guards (the ones that look like they're from Minas Tirith) and they are on active duty, both at home and abroad. Yep, those hats are made from bearskin. As in skin from a bear. These soldiers wear a whole bear's outside on their heads. Add to that the live rifles they carry whilst on guard duty and a totally professional dedication to that duty.
