But they are. You just can't - or don't want to - see it, because you're one of them.

"So many"?  Big Grin  And yet you were only able to name 2, and fairly questionable ones at that. Could it be it's because you are a simpleton? Did you not pay attention in school? I mean - the real school, not the one where they taught you bending over and reciting iron-age barbarian poetry... Tongue

There's no such thing as a "cosmic web". Dumb people often make up pleasantly sounding nonsense, so that they can parade it around, proud that they now also have some "arcane knowledge", that smart people can't comprehend. Science is hard, learning facts is hard - mystical bullsh*t is much easier and nobody can call you out on it because none of it has any meaning, so it can't be tested. It's just mental masturbation, that makes you feel smart and maybe can get some dumb chick to suck your d*ck, but it's not knowledge.

LOL... Religion was a scam from the beginning. Nobody "ruined" it - cynical frauds and nutjobs, like Muhammad simply used it and continue to use it to gain power over simple, ignorant, fearful people. That's what religion is for. You can save you pathetic apologetics for some dumb believers.  Rolleyes

It's a "human" humor. You might see the world as "us and them", but I don't really see it like that. Actually we are all humans over this piece of earth, and we suffer from very short ages that end in our death.
So..yeah..human humor.

Quote:But they are. You just can't - or don't want to - see it, because you're one of them.

You personally believe that; I don't. Achievements speak better than words;
Muslims invented the Lute.

If he believed to silence the masses, he wouldn't need to make this argument from design:
Quote:Newton simultaneously made an argument from design and for the necessity of intervention:
Quote:For while comets move in very eccentric orbs in all manner of positions, blind fate could never make all the planets move one and the same way in orbs concentric, some inconsiderable irregularities excepted which may have arisen from the mutual actions of comets and planets on one another, and which will be apt to increase, till this system wants a reformation.[27]

I don't buy your reference to him being "an undercover atheist".

Quote:Did he, now? Even if he did, it was a deity in the most abstract sense - nothing like the fairy-tales and superstitions religious people believe.

But he wouldn't say "there's nothing".
There is something.

I was actually lazy and thought that these two were enough. But I did a google search:
https://www.famousscientists.org/25-famo...ed-in-god/
I didn't go to a real school. Saudi Arabia has locked boy/girl only schools that they call schools, so I went there.
You have math, science, Hadith, Quran, Fiqqh, and I can''t quite remember the rest.
Oh and Geography.
Don't think it was that great! Everything sucked!
Your friend here (lol me) spent his time waiting to get home, to sit on the internet. No, I'm not fat.
God taught me.
I'm not stupid. Sunnies and Shittes are, and I hate their guts, just like they made my childhood a living hell.

When the religion says "don't kill the innocent", but a guy comes and erase this line, replace it with "Alalala boom! kill". Then the religion was ruined.
The original version is so so different than what you see today.

Quote:Or whose imaginary friend is the one and only imaginary friend. Or whose imaginary friend promised whose ancestors what piece of real estate. Or which is the correct way to suck an imaginary friend's c*ck...

It's simple: nothing gives a man the right to kill another, but if the other already killed or was going to kill.
Want the verse from the Quran?
So it solves the war on terror propaganda, the Sunni/Shiite civil war and also the gang wars allover the world.

We die either way.
