Have you read the good book?

Have you read the good book?
I have read probably 75% of it. It is such dry reading and I can't keep my attention up enough to go through absolutely all of it. I am much more familiar with it than most Christians though.

I've started to make my own handwritten copy. Its amazing how the meaning of something opens up when you must attend to every word.

I've never sat and read the book from cover to cover but I have certainly read all of the bible in total.

I can remember I had a "teen bible" as a younger man and can remember my father being disappointed that I wasn't reading the "Real bible" because who knows how accurate this teen bible is, right?

Funny. It actually just broke everything in the bible down to readable, modern English. That's it. This is probably where most of my bible intake took place. Though I did read plenty of it from a regular old KJV.
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll

Yes, I've read it, and my favorite book was Two Corinthians.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

You say it is dry reading yet many Christians believe it is the richest reading, so no l do not believe you are.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I've read some of it, wasn't overly impressed if I'm honest.

its obvious you havent understood the meaning of the passages in the bible.

Does "understand" mean "agree with you"?

I find it perplexingly stupid of you that you can't seem to understand that your god is a myth to us, so he didn't do anything we could react to.

Moron, your buddy Identified God as a murder! If God is not real then why is your buddy reacting to what the bible claimes he did?!?!

Get your facts straight before you come to me with your low brow, off the shelf, stock come backs sport.

You make it too easy
