Are there fewer female atheists?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Are there fewer female atheists?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I do not think that there are fewer female atheists.
I think that fewer female atheists turn up on forums like this.
"Owl," said Rabbit shortly, "you and I have brains. The others have fluff. If there is any thinking to be done in this Forest - and when I say thinking I mean thinking - you and I must do it."

For example, why is my very atheist wife not on any Atheist forum? I think it is for lack of interest in such a thing, and that might tell you something.

The other thing about forums is that women aren't represented proportionally anyway.
If the only atheists you know are from online, it's easy to think that women atheists are less proportional. Why so few gay? Why so few black? Why so few children? Why so few of those who are single, and ready to 'mingle'?
Why so few folks who feel entitled to keep their own money? Misogyny aside, organized religions have a laundry list of doctrines, edicts, commands, etc. that could easily be deemed as targeted, or demeaning towards any number of individuals, amongst a number of subgroups. Yet, the overwhelming majority of the world's population are believers. So, I'm guessing that the answer to the OP's question can readily be found in response to "Why are there so few atheists?", period. (March 3, 2017 at 2:30 pm)Mathilda Wrote: Fewer, not less. Perhaps the OP meant atheists who are less female; ie male (or at least more masculine). So the question becomes "why are there male atheists?"
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

If a woman attacks you with a knife, hold up a piece of bread. This will activate her female instincts and she will make you a sandwich.
